Now That We Are Here...

Welcome to the official unofficial Slow Dither website. Feel free to look around, but for the most up-to-date news, please visit us at www.myspace.com/slowdither Thanks!

"A four-piece rock band from Tennessee, Slow Dither (Megan Bengard/vocals, j.c. monterrosa/guitar, Adam Deane/bass, & Matt Coles/drums) blends the percolating guitars from U2 and the melodic musings of The Cure. By virtue of a rich musical background, Slow Dither unabashedly stands in the shadows of a post-punk, new-wave world, aspiring to music that captures energy, emotion and the mind.

Slow Dither began in Nashville early in 2005, when j.c. managed to recruit Adam and Matt from a local recording studio, the Sound Kitchen. Friends in and out of the studio (and all sharing a Berklee College of Music connection), the three began their musical endeavor, working on their musical chemistry while playing shows. The band finalized their lineup in the next couple of years with the addition of Megan, with all four members working in the music industry. Slow Dither has played to various sized venues and festivals throughout the Southeast, building a loyal regional following to supplement their global online fanbase.

As Slow Dither continues to hone their sound, their ambition remains the same – to focus on the energy and drive that originally catapulted them all to careers in the industry: the love of music."
